Abighail Seghid, founder of Snit Atelier, began her journey in fashion not through formal exposure to textiles, but through an early appreciation of transformation and personal style. Growing up in a humble household, she developed a deep admiration for her mother’s daily ritual of dressing, an experience that shaped her understanding of clothing as empowerment.

Despite limited access to fashion resources, Abighail carried a clear vision: to create garments that could not simply be purchased, but experienced.

Choosing to pursue fashion design was met with resistance from those around her, who viewed it as an impractical career path. Even a respected designer once advised her not to continue. Rather than deterring her, these moments strengthened her resolve and clarified her purpose.

After formal training in fashion design, Abighail joined Nardos Design, where she was immersed in couture craftsmanship. There she refined her expertise in patternmaking, structured fittings, hand-finishing techniques, and luxury garment construction.

Through this experience, she developed a deep respect for couture as both discipline and art form. Her work reflects technical precision, emotional sensitivity, and a commitment to excellence.
